Greetings
The KVK Social Welfare Foundation is the predecessor
of the Kitamura Welfare Foundation, which was established by the late Jiro
Kitamura, the founder of KVK Corporation, looking back on his hardships
as a youth, understood the challenges and had a deep desire to support
students who have strong desire to learn. It was established in March 1974
to commemorate the 35th anniversary of KVK Corporation foundation, with
a fervent hope to enhance the social welfare situation in Gifu City, where
the KVK’s head office was located at that time.
In July 2018, the head office of KVK Corporation was relocated from
Gifu City to Tomika-cho, Kamo-gun, nevertheless, the KVK Social Welfare
Foundation continued to offer scholarships and provide school supplies
to elementary and junior high school students from households on social
welfare who are in need of assistance in Tomika-cho, Kamo-gun, nearby Minokamo
City in addition to Gifu City.
