Offering of Scholarships

Purpose

The purpose is to offer scholarship to encourage children who will be entering junior high schools or students presently enrolled in junior high schools, senior high schools and colleges of technology coming from households who are on welfare and needing assistance.

　

Eligibility Criteria

This scholarship is available only to students who fall under all the following criteria.
（１）Pupils or students belonging to households living in Gifu City, Minokamo City and Tomika Town,
         Kamo District
（２）Students falling under any of the following:
         a. Sixth graders who will enter junior high school in the next school year;
         b. Third year junior high school students who will be pursuing higher education at senior
             high schools or technical colleges next school year;
         c. First year to third year senior high school students
         d. First year to third year technical college students.
（３）Good moral character and have strong principles
（４）Must not be a recipient of other scholarship

　　　(except national or local goverment scholarships and other educational or student loans)
（５）One must be a deserving applicant and really in need of the scholarship.

　

Application Procedures

Gifu City, Minokamo City and Tomika Town offices, will distribute the application forms to qualified recipients by December.
   Recipients of the scholarship must attach their certificate of enrollment to the application form and apply through the district welfare officer and the committee on the welfare of children.
   Please note that there might be some changes in the schedule.

　　

Date of Scholarship Payment

The payment base date is set annually, on the 1st of December.

　

Application Deadline

Qualified recipient who wish to avail of the scholarship are requested to submit their application forms by the end of January.

Providing School Supplies

Purpose

The purpose is to provide school bags and shoes to encourage pupils and students who will be entering elementary and junior high schools respectively and are on from households on welfare and needing assistance.

　

Eligibility Criteria

The recipients of school bags and shoes are pupils or students who fall under all the following criteria.
（１）Pupils or students belonging to households living in Gifu City, Minokamo City
　　　　 and Tomika Town who will be entering elementary school or junior high school next
　　　　 year
（２）Good moral character and have strong principles
（３）One must be a deserving applicant and really in need of the school supply provisions.

　

School Supplies

School bags and shoes are provided for pupils. Bags are provided for students.

　

Application Procedures

Gifu City, Minokamo City and Tomika Town offices will distribute the application forms to qualified recipients by December.
Recipients of the scholarship grants must file their application forms and apply through the district welfare officer and the committee on the welfare of children.
